Data Center
To meet the massive computing needs of next-generation sequencing technologies, the Genome Sequencing Center (GSC) is building a 16,000 square-foot data center on Newstead Avenue across the street from the center's current facility on the medical campus. When complete, the data center will support 120 racks of highly dense data storage and computing solutions. You can find more information on the data center in a story by the Washington University School of Medicine.

Below are some pictures documenting the progress of the construction which is slated to be completed by May 1, 2008. You can find more pictures on Flickr.
